Doris Kearns Goodwin Biographies

I wanted to share this PBS link, where Doris Kearns Goodwin shares some of her insight into writing presidential biographies.

Anyone read any of her books? I feel like she’s the most popular presidential biographer as of now. It would feel strange NOT posting about her in this category!

Team of Rivals.

On my list–thank you!

What do you read? Maybe I could recommend some good titles. I’ve just finished reading all of the Conan Doyle Sherlock Holmes stories, all 162 of them. I just started The Thin Man by Hammett.

I’m needing an escape, but tend to prefer nonfiction. Any ideas?

I would recommend any of Brian Kilmeade’s books about American History. His latest about Andrew Jackson is excellent.
I also got a kick out of The Secret History of the Jersey Devil. It killed my belief that the creature is real, and that was a major task.
Troublemaker by Leah Remini is a scary one about how a cult can worm its way into a person’s life.

I love Doris Kearns Goodwin! Team of Rivals is my favorite. Is she working on another Biography right now?
